Terms of Service
Last updated: October 3, 2026
Hookworth is operated by Latif Ünal, a sole proprietor based in Antalya, Türkiye (“Hookworth”, “we”, “us”). Contact: hello@gethookworth.com. Website: hookworth.com. By using Hookworth you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Hookworth is self-serve software for planning, editing, checking and testing video ads. It analyses publicly available ads and material you provide, produces videos and controlled variations from your own footage, product images, text and licensed stock voices, and recommends what to test next. All output is produced by the software; Hookworth is not an agency or consulting service. Features vary by plan, as described on our pricing.
2. Purchases and our reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices are shown in USD; applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for your account, its credentials and API keys, and for activity under them. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. Tell us promptly at hello@gethookworth.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
4. Plans, credits and billing
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance. Generating or rendering uses credits; the cost is shown before you start. On paid plans, unused monthly credits roll over for up to two months.
- Credit packs are one-off purchases and remain available while your account is active.
- If a render fails on our side, the credits it used are returned automatically.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, except as described in our refund policy.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to the material you upload (“Inputs”) and to the videos and text generated for you (“Outputs”), to the extent the law allows. You give us a limited licence to host, process and transform your Inputs and Outputs only to provide and improve the service for you. We do not sell your content, and we do not use your private content to create material for other customers.
You confirm you have the rights needed for your Inputs (footage, logos, music, voices, product claims) and that your use of Outputs complies with the law and with the policies of the platforms where you publish them.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Hookworth to:
- make health, medical, financial or product claims that are false, unapproved or unsubstantiated;
- copy or imitate another party’s footage, script, music, artwork or trademarks without permission;
- impersonate real people or create deceptive content about them;
- generate or alter human faces, bodies or voices to depict a real or realistic person (including avatars, face swaps, deepfakes and voice cloning or imitation);
- use any person’s likeness or voice without that person’s explicit written consent;
- generate spam, mass near-duplicate content intended to evade platform rules, or unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit content;
- break the law, infringe rights, or attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
We may suspend or remove content or accounts that break these rules.
7. Content policy: no synthetic people
Hookworth does not offer AI avatars, synthetic presenters, face swaps, deepfakes or voice cloning, and the product blocks these uses. Narration uses licensed stock voices. Video generation is limited to products, objects, scenes and graphics. If your own footage shows people, you must hold their consent to use it in advertising.
8. Third-party services
Hookworth uses third-party AI and infrastructure providers (for example for speech, transcription, product and scene visuals, language models and hosting). Their availability and output quality can vary. Generated content may contain errors; review Outputs before you publish them.
9. Recommendations are not guarantees
Analyses and “next test” recommendations are based on observable data and are provided to support your decisions. We do not guarantee any advertising performance, sales or results.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features; if a change materially reduces a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.
11. Termination
You may stop using Hookworth and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. On termination you may export your projects for 30 days, after which we may delete them.
12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email before they take effect.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
